Chemical etching
Chemical etching is used for drawing images on copper alloys (brass, copper, etc.), as well as duralumin and stainless steel. Etching is carried out by acid vapors on the stencil applied to the plate. After etching, the image is filled with enamel or special compounds. Used for the manufacture of single or small-value items, since the identity of products in a large print run is difficult to achieve. The size of the application is limited by the size of the metal plate.
Pros: a presentable appearance of the finished object, the products are suitable for outdoor use, the possibility of restoration instead of a complete replacement.
Cons: a very labor-intensive manufacturing process involving a large number of operations, a high cost of the product, small runs, a long production time, constant care of the products (with external application) is required.
